Just recovered from a serious problem. I closed FL20, and decided to scan with 12.5.1, to try to find my new waves plugins. I only use 64bit FL, but when I opened task manager to close FL, because it STILL will not close when I press X, there were 3 versions of plugin manager running, and 4 ilbridge.exe ( all 32 bit, and each using 25% CPU ). Generally plugins get installed in Program files VST or Program files (x86) VST. I suggest using the former for 64 bit plugins and the latter for 32-bit plugins (I personally just have them all go to Program files (x86) VST and have a subfolder for 32-bit, but it's sloppy and I don't recommend it). All the sample libraries go in d: vst samples. I back up the d: vst folder, and tell reaper to scan d: vst fx and d: vst vsti folders. Any plugins i want to stop using go in the d: vst obsolete folder which i add back to the scan path if i need to load an ancient project for some reason. I’m developing native VST audio plugin in Linux, and I want to use Ardour as host. I put my compiled plugin into /vst, added that path to Ardour’s VST search path. During re-scanning, Ardour listed my plugin in the pop up window, but I cannot find it in “Add Track/Bus/VCA” dialog. I want to know whether Ardour actually validated my plugin. I messed up and added way to many plugin vst folders for reason to scan and now reason crashes everytime I try to boot it up. Is there any way of starting reason without scanning the plugin folders? Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling reason but it remembers the folders I selected strangely. Bypass VST scan for Soft Synths Hi. Does anyone know if it is possible to bypass the scan process for VST plugins? For some strange reason, some of my plugins in 8.5.1 keep on disappearing, and it's a hassle to keep resetting and re-scanning the VST folders to be able to use my synths again. I would like to just force their insertion.

ARCADE only works in 64-bit mode at the moment. Please make sure you're using the 64-bit version of your DAW as this is the one that our plugins are optimized for.

The following systems aren’t currently compatible with Arcade:

  • Cubase 8 (32-bit) (PC: VST, VST3).
  • Pro Tools 10
  • Ableton Live 9 (32-bit)
  • Logic Express (32-bit)
  • AKAI Hardware
  • iOS (iPad and/or iPhone)
  • Chromebook
  • Magix Music Maker
  • Mixcraft 7 (32-bit)

If you're running a 64-bit DAW, try re-scanning your plugins inside your DAW and see if you can locate ARCADE.

How To Re-Scan My Plugins:

Logic Pro:

  1. Open Logic Pro X > Preferences > Plug-In Manager.
  2. In the Plug-in Manager, locate the Arcade. To filter by manufacturer, click Output in the left column.
  3. If 'failed validation' appears in the Compatibility column for Arcade, highlight Arcade then click Reset & Rescan Selection.

Ableton Live 9: (Mac and PC)

Force Reason To Scan Vst Plugins

ARCADE doesn't support 32-bit systems on MacOS + PC, and it's likely the reason that you can't see ARCADE in Live 9.

Please try scanning your plugins and also make sure you're running a 64-bit version of Ableton Live, which may require an update. To determine if you're running a 64-bit application you can use the following steps:

  1. Type the following keyboard shortcut Command ⌘ + Space bar to launch Spotlight.
  2. Type System Information and hit Enter when it shows up.
  3. Scroll down to the Software section in System Information.
  4. Click Applications and wait for your applications to load.
  5. The column to the far right in the Applications table will give you a simple, 'Yes' or 'No' answer as to whether or not your app is 64-bit.

If your copy of Live 9 is not 64-bit then that is the reason you can't see it in your DAW.
